After a nomadic childhood spent doodling, eating, sleeping, and growing, Michael Hirshon ended up as an illustrator. He's spent the past decade drawing on everything from book covers to beer cans, for some of the world's biggest brands and publications. His work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, 3×3, Creative Quarterly, CMYK, Spectrum, and the AIGA.
Michael heads the Illustration program at the University of Utah, as an Assistant Professor in the College of Fine Arts. He holds an MFA in Illustration as Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts.
